did you know soap doesn’t really clean your hands it just makes the water molecules smaller so the water can go into smaller crevices in your skin isn’t that the weirdest shit you’ve read today
It’s also the wrongest shit I’ve read today.
You cannot make a water molecule “smaller”.
Soap is a surfactant. One end of a long molecule can bind to H2O molecules and one end can bind easily to oil and grease on your hands. Then you rinse to wash the entire bonded mess away.
If I could somehow find a way to replace all the memorized song lyrics in my brain with useful knowledge…
“While everybody else was coming out of the building, fire fighters were going in – walking in, knowing that there was a prospect they’d never walk back out. We lost a lot of fire fighters that day, but we’ll never forget their courage and sacrifice that lifted America off its knees when we needed inspiration the most. September 11 merely solidified in the minds of millions what we always knew to be true: You are some of America’s bravest heroes.”
To those who are afraid of what may happen today.
Do not fear.
We are always here, always waiting, always watching.
We will always respond, no matter the call.
Sleep safe in your beds tonight.
We’ll take watch from here.
